Family Therapy Training

Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy (STST) is rooted in the wisdom and work of world-renowned psychotherapist Virginia Satir. The Level 1 STST program provides:

STST integrates evidence-based experiential therapy with a systemic, positively directional, and change-focused approach, leading to neurological transformation.

Counsellors and therapists will learn to:

  • Utilize experiential processes to access healing Life Energy.
  • Facilitate change in clients’ intrapsychic and relational systems.
  • Establish safety and connect with clients’ internal experiences.
  • Identify and transform survival communication and coping patterns.
  • Set positively directional therapeutic goals.
  • Help clients access and strengthen internal resources.
  • Map internal processes and guide behavioural, emotional, and perceptual change.
  • Support clients in integrating and maintaining transformational change.

Applications of Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy (STST)

SIP’s Applications of STST program is for advanced Satir Model practitioners.   While most Satir Model practice has been at the process level, advanced practitioners need to incorporate the deeper levels of meaning and energy in their work.  We will focus on how to bring about change at these levels with our therapeutic clients.

This program will look at aspects of therapy where clients are working with impacts of depression, anxiety, pain, attachment and Use of Self.  We can understand and work with individuals beyond the D.S.M. (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of APA), looking at working successfully with the root causes instead of symptoms.

Let’s go back to the roots of the Satir Model and explore what is now possible with all the increased understanding of the healing process.

This program will also look at how the Satir Model has changed, evolved, and developed over time, as well as looking at what has been added from other schools and authorities to mix with the Satir Model.

We will have 12 days, “becoming more fully human” and deepening our therapeutic work with clients.

Freedom Through Forgiveness Can Be Yours!

Freedom Through Forgiveness Can Be Yours!

Online Via Zoom

14.25 CEU/CEC

Not forgiving is a kind of soul sickness that saps our energy and keeps us from fully accessing clear Life Energy to fuel our walks in life. It represents a kind of “stuckness” which is fuelled by our anger, disappointment, fears, and pain which block our healing and growth. Our injuries drain our spirit with great costs to our physical, emotional and spiritual health. They also keep us from being able to be fully present with our clients who struggle with their pain from not forgiving.

This online workshop will emphasize the freedom that is yours through full acceptance of where you are in the forgiveness journey and experiencing ways to heal the impacts of your pain that keep preventing you from experiencing full forgiveness of your Self and others. Your transformational healing will enable you to transcend the most hurtful of circumstances. Your freedom will then enable you to re-claim your inner vitality and release any lingering bitterness, shame, guilt, or fears. You will emerge feeling much more fully alive!
