Are you thinking of reaching out for support to help you move forward after trauma or a significant loss? I can help you develop your ability to cope resiliently, live more fully in the present, and create a meaningful life beyond trauma. I have worked for 15+ years with people impacted by various kinds of trauma, including sexual abuse and domestic violence.
I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches into my work with clients depending on their needs, including mindfulness-based, narrative therapies, CBT, DBT, ACT and expressive (art) interventions. I also have specialized training in EMDR, a therapy that was developed to help people heal from the emotional distress resulting from traumatic life experiences.
I am intentional about cultivating a warm, steady, compassionate space for sharing, and my clients often comment on how much they appreciate my humour and creative teaching stories. I want you to know that I truly love my work as a counsellor, and would be honoured to walk with you as you face the challenges that are motivating you to reach out for support.
