About Carmela
Carmela Sutcliffe strives to provide a supportive, person centered approach to therapy where her clients can explore and overcome barriers to healing and leading their best lives.
Before transitioning to private practice, Carmela’s counselling career was focused on community mental health supporting children and youth with their mental health needs and supporting their families in their role as caregivers. This experience provided her with a strength in supporting children, youth, and families struggling with trauma, attachment, anxiety, depression, addictions, disordered eating, and other mental health issues including suicidality, self-harm, and other high-risk behaviours. She also has experience working with adults with a history of addictions and incarcerations.
