About Shelby
I believe that each person who walks through my door is the author of his or her own unique story, and that each story comprises both profound challenges and personal strengths. Through my practice, I strive to work in collaboration with individuals to help them uncover their strengths and overcome their suffering. The path I walk towards achieving this collaborative practice is one of respect, acceptance, and authenticity. I am committed to supporting individuals in their pursuit of personal growth and emotional wellbeing, and I am a passionate advocate to ensure that all individuals receive just and equal treatment.
In my private practice I specialize in postpartum depression and anxiety, as well as grief and loss of a child. However I am also highly experienced in trauma work, generalized depression, different types of anxiety, self-harm and suicidal ideation, managing life transitions, parenting support, improving interpersonal relationships, and enhancing self-worth and self-esteem. I am trained in EMDR and prefer to use this modality when appropriate.
