Skills for Mindful Living Series Vancouver presents “Celebrating Gender Diversity: Respecting Trans & Gender Nonconforming Identities” presented by Jen Matsui De Roo, RCC
If you’re a service provider, friend, or family member of a trans or gender non-conforming person, this workshop will offer you an introduction to gender identity and expression.
What you will learn:
You will learn why proper pronouns, respectful terminology and accessible washrooms need to be considered when creating safe and affirming spaces for trans people.
We’ll also discuss social, legal, and medical aspects of gender transition, including how to access transition-related resources in BC.
*This venue is scent free, is fully accessible, and equipped with gender neutral washrooms.*

About the Presenter:
Jenn Matsui De Roo, RCC is a clinical counsellor with an area of focus in trans health. Jenn’s work is grounded in anti-oppression and feminist theory and practice. Jenn is also the clinical supervisor at the Catherine White Holman Wellness Centre, a holistic wellness centre for trans and gender diverse people
