This presentation covers the psychosocial stage of adolescence, and tools for supporting the achievement of these goals.
What you will learn:
In this workshop Laura discusses brain development and the effects of development on behaviour, including setting appropriate expectations and recognizing abnormalities and problem behaviours.
There is a strong focus on mindfulness skills (for both adult and adolescent), reducing stress and communication skills.

Laura Burke has worked with teenagers and their families for many years and in many settings. She is passionate about using cognitive and behavioural therapeutic techniques to help young people find their places in the world, and loves helping the adults in their lives learn and grow as they rise to the challenge of supporting their emerging young adults.
