Although tobacco, alcohol, and marijuana are common substances of use and abuse in our current culture, they are not without concern.

There are also alarming trends about the abuse of cocaine, prescription drugs including Oxycontin and Fentanyl, as well as chemical drugs such like methamphetamines.

What you will learn:

This workshop provides information about the drugs being used and current substance abuse trends specifically among teenagers and young adults.

About the Presenter:

Carrie DeJong has 18 years’ experience as a trauma and addiction therapist. She utilizes therapeutic approaches focusing on neurobiology and psychophysiology in the treatment of trauma-related symptoms including the use of substances to manage trauma symptoms. Her expertise is in helping clients and clinicians understand the connection between trauma and addiction.
