A Day with Maureen McEvoy on Trauma Work and Clinical Notes
Presented by Maureen McEvoy, MA, RCC

Trauma Work: Morning Presentation 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

During Maureen’s 30 years in private practice she has accumulated a wealth of skills, interventions, and experience working with people who have suffered trauma – whether recently or in childhood. She has also learned effective strategies for working with couples where one or both partners is a trauma survivor.

What you will learn:

In the first half of this full day workshop, we will explore distilled wisdom from Maureen’s 30 years in the “trenches”.

Clinical Notes: Afternoon Presentation 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Along the way, almost by accident, Maureen learned a lot about the conflict between the counselling paradigm and the legal system.  That experience eventually led to workshops and a manual, “Balancing Conflicting Interests: A Counsellor’s Guide to the Legal Process”.

What you will learn:

In the second half of this full day workshop, we will discuss some principles for keeping effective clinical notes.
