About Helen DENICE

Hello there! I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor practicing in Nakusp, British Columbia, who holds a Masters of Education in Counselling degree. I am passionate about working with children, youth, adults, and families who come from diverse backgrounds, ages, sexualities, and challenges, while using experiential and transformational therapies to help clients reach their unbounding potential. I believe that most of us are on a journey, a journey of becoming our best selves. I am devoted to walking along with you on your unique journey. I want you to experience your abundance by connecting with your yearnings and your essence of self.

I am a Clinical Satir Counsellor and an approved FNHA Counsellor. I have previous experience working with children, youth, families, and adults. My practice is based on experiential transformation. I have training in the experiential therapies of Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy, Neuroscience in the Sandtray Therapy, (yes, sandtray for teens and adults also!) and am Theraplay-informed. Sessions are positively-directional and change-focussed. (My practice may include snippets from other modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Somatic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focussed Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.) I am committed to continually challenging myself with ongoing personal and professional growth and ongoing clinical supervision. I look forward to hearing from you!
