About Michelle (Mia)
Reaching out for help is a huge step and can be uncomfortable and I believe that building a trusting and safe environment is essential. I help my clients become empowered and active participants to work through challenges such as loss, grief, life transitions, trauma, low mood, anger, and finding meaning in their lives. My previous career as a teacher and athletic coach as well as my Masters in Counselling Psychology have helped provide me with many different perspectives. I work with individuals ranging from youth to adults of any gender and sexual orientation.

My style is trauma-informed, meaning my clients get to choose a pace that is comfortable for them and they choose how much information they share. I have speciality training in TIFT, Lifespan Integration, OEI, Existential Analysis, and sandtray. I use IFS, somatic, & expressive therapies; however, I will work with you to find a style that suits your needs.
I commend you on taking this difficult first step! I offer a free online 15 minute consultation to see if I am the right therapist for you. If you are interested in in-person sessions, my dog, Lyra will be in attendance.
