Shivani helps her clients understand the impacts of trauma and chronic stress on their overall functioning, and helps them discover that their own bodies are a resource for insight, healing, and resilience. Her compassionate, embodied, and non-judgmental approach is informed by neurophysiology, mindfulness, and attachment theory, and is rooted in the belief that each of us has the innate capacity to move toward healing and growth.
Shivani specializes in treating the root-cause trauma that underlies current symptoms, including anxiety, addiction, depression, shame, somatic symptoms, grief and loss, and interpersonal issues. She uses empirically-supported brain and body-based approaches, including Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Brainspotting, mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
