Helping people is hard work, and as counsellors we listen to people’s problems and witness sufferings everyday.
The Self is the most important tool that we use and bears the stress that is a given and burnout that can be right around the corner.
If we want to last, thrive, and feel fulfilled in this profession, self-care is a must. .
What you will learn:
This workshop uses ACT principles to explore the barriers that keep counsellors from doing effective self-care. To facilitate them to take committed actions toward self-care by connecting to their values and cultivating awareness, acceptance and self-compassion.

About the Presenter:
Judy Zhu is a registered clinical counsellor and a registered doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. For over 10 years, she has been helping people with depression, anxiety, stress disorders, and chronic health issues by using a body-mind integrated approach and emphasis in self-care. The main therapeutic approaches she adopts are ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy) and mindfulness-based therapies. Her practice of Zen meditation enables her to bring you her grounded presence, compassion, and engagement.
