Working Beneath the Iceberg for Change

Presented by Corrinna Douglas, RCC

This presentation offers a basic exploration of a deeper internal process for individuals based on the use of Virginia Satir’s iceberg metaphor within the Transformational Systemic Therapy (TST) growth model.

While many modalities of therapy focus on behaviours, thoughts and emotions TST explores changing the impacts of an event at a deeper level through the individual’s feelings, perceptions, expectations and yearnings.  Patterns surface in attempt to protect the hurt and pain and strive for survival.

Accessing the individual’s untapped resources and deeper yearnings through discovery and awareness can lead to a meaningful connection with their authentic Self.

Handouts will be provided to all who register at least 48 hours in advance.
