An embodied, nervous system-aware and sex-positive approach to healing from the sexual impacts of sexual violence and abuse.

What you will learn:

We will outline the long-term sexual impacts of sexual violence and abuse, and explore the practical steps that survivors can take to create a new healthy relationship with their sexuality and regain control over their sex lives. This presentation is all about a mind-body approach to healing and learning to say “yes” to our own desires.

About the Presenter:

Lauren Shay is an RCC and RSW working in private practice at East Vancouver Counselling.  Lauren practices in the areas of trauma, relationships, and sexuality and her work draws heavily on her training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and sex therapy.  Lauren is experienced in working with many aspects of sexual diversity, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, practitioners of BDSM and non-monogamous relationships.
