Insurance Renewal Season is Almost Here

Insurance Renewal time is almost here!

It’s important to note that all members are required to have professional liability insurance in order to remain a member in good standing with the BCACC.

Here’s what you need to know to renew your insurance:

  1. You will receive a renewal link from Mitchell & Abbott soon. If you have not received your renewal link by March 15, 2021, please contact them directly at 1-800-463-5208, extension #261, to confirm you have your policy in place by April 1, 2021.
  2. Once you have renewed your insurance, you’ll need to update your Member Information with the NEW expiry date. To do so, login to the Member Portal here: and then select Member Information from the top menu tabs. Insurance information can be found on the right-hand side of the page. This allows us to confirm with outside sources that you are a member in good standing.


Remember, it is important to both renew and update your insurance information within the Member Portal before April 1, 2021 to remain a member in good standing!

This is also a good time to check that your contact information has not changed in the past year. Should you have technical difficulties with the Member Portal please call our office at 250-595-4448.

If you have alternative insurance coverage, you are still required to update this information and may be asked for proof of insurance throughout the year.
